The Technical Guideline Part 1 describes the measurement of sound emissions from wind turbines. The test procedure is described and specified in accordance with IEC 61400-11. The result of a survey according to TR 1 is a test report which serves as proof of the sound power level of a wind turbine, for example for use in sound propagation forecasts which are applied in approval procedures in Germany.
