TR 3 – Determination of electrical characteristics of generation units and plants, storage facilities and for their components on the medium, high and extra-high voltage network

As a test specification, TR 3 describes measurement procedures for determining the electrical characteristics of generation units and systems. The regulation includes, among other things, tests for active power output, reactive power provision, flicker, harmonics, decoupling protection and FRT behavior. The result of a measurement according to TR 3 is a test report, which serves as proof of the electrical properties of an EZE or EZA, for example within the framework of the TR 8 certification program.
